We love recycling!

We love any excuse to rummage in our recycling bags and boxes and see what we can make from what’s in there. Here are a couple of Valentine-themed things that Christina made:

Photo frame and candle holder

The frame is really simple. It’s just an old frame from a charity shop frame decorated with newspaper. You could also use magazines if you wanted something a wee bit brighter.

Christina made the candle holder by drilling holes in a tin can. Be very careful if you try this at home! If you don’t have a drill, you can get the same effect by punching holes in a can with a hammer and nails. This tutorial from Pure Green Magazine tells you how.

We also love this incredibly cute Cupid made from a cardboard tube: here’s how to make your own. Or how about these Love Bugs?

Cupid Decoration

We’d love to see photos of your recycled crafts for Valentine’s Day. If you make something, leave a link in the comments or message us on Facebook.
